Just wanted to report on the success of my charity run π
As some of you know I am aiming to run my first HM at Royal Parks to raise funds for The Alzheimerβs Society in memory of my dear dad. To help my fundraising I organised a 10k run along Frinton-on-Sea seafront. Lots of lovely ladies from my running group plus the school where I work, made donations and we all gathered yesterday morning. 16 of us in total! The threatened rain stayed away and it was a glorious day. We ran an out and back loop along the quiet beachfront with a gentle breeze to keep us cool. We returned to the beach hut for bacon rolls and cake π°ππ» plus everyone was rewarded with my homemade, hand painted medals. Everyone was so complimentary about the whole thing and were very generous with more donations for a raffle.
It was a great day and so much fun - and best of all we raised lots of money for Alzheimerβs.

Sounds like a wonderful event all round. I would think your Dad would be so proud of you for putting this day together in memory pf him. Plus bacon rolls and cake π
Iβm sorry you lost your dad to that awful disease. Itβs heartbreaking. It stole my lovely dad away piece by piece so that when he passed I realised Iβd lost him long ago π. Would you like me to run for your dad too? Iβll add his name to my label on my back. You can message me his name.
That sounds far better than signing up for a race that says it is supporting a charity but gives a very small percentage of the entry fee to them. I do love your bling and the fact that everyone got stuck in to help. It looks a lovely place to run too.
Well done Biddy πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈππ»ππ»ππ»
