Well I completed my third mara distance today. I shaved a few more minutes off progressively however each time I've made it harder so I can't really compare like for like
1. 5:30 dead 1,870 ascent
2. 5:28.03 2,100 ascent
3. 5:21.38 2,825 ascent
The 2nd and 3rd time I seem to have lost 25 mins in stopping for water fill up, snacks etc plus today I ended helping 3 different people who were a bit lost (I sort of forgot I was doing a marathon! π€£)
It is getting easier, I don't now find it super hard until the last 2 miles so hopefully practice will make perfect. We'll see what next month brings.ππ»

Find your inspiration wherever you may, on my 1st one when it got tough I remembered the guy from 50/50/50, and kept saying if he can do 50 Ironmans in 50 days I can do 4 more miles!!
Oh wow. JoJo thatβs epic. πͺ You must have legs of steel. Mine are just recovering from their slow HM run on Wednesday where I swore I would NEVER run a marathon! Iβm doing the βplease donβt let me get a London ballot placeβ dance! π
You are some runner. Kudos, I am not worthy!! π
I love reading posts like yours though - it does spark my curiosity, and I would dearly love to run London. There simply arenβt enough hours in the day or muscles in my legs! π π
All that means is that the more you do it the easier it feels for you! Doesnβt make it anything other than a very tough proposition for we mere mortals π
