Solomon Skyline Scotland World Series Events.

Annual 3 day events including the Mamore Vertical Km in a 5k distance.

All starts and finishes in the village of Kinlochleven.

Aiming to do this event sometime next year when I have put in the work and can find a suitable week.

May walk some of the other World Series routes that have become part of qualification for the Trail World Series elites.

Well they call it that IP.The Mamore VK.You can google it.Its apparently one of the few on offer in the UK.

It’s be going since 2016,from sea level in the village of Kinlochleven to the peak of Na Gruachan which is a Munro and just over 1Km and is exactly 5km to the summit.Hot this year and a first timer from Ireland won it in around 44 mins.

I think a previous winner has broken the 40 mins.

The Ring Of Steall and the BenNevis and Glencoe ultra’s take place also.It is the olympics of trail running and part of the World Series.🙈🤔⭐️👏👏

Yes Floss is a proper climber.👊💥⭐️

When I was a kid I used to be on Ben Nevis 3 times per week,🙈 where has that all gone.

I was born in Kinlochleven and lived in the shadow of that mountain and others in my youth.

So it’s like an old friend really.

I suppose until you foolishly try and beat 40mins.🙈🤔🤣🤣

I think like riding a bike,...I could still climb...I am just about to buy, ( researching at the mo') what in my day..( so long ago.. ) were called 'sticky boots' .

I have fancied getting back to this for a while although it will be low level stuff on the gritstone near where I live, initially.

I think, my days of hanging in slings, off a sheer rock face in the Llanberis Pass, belaying a heavy, hairy climber ( Mr OF ).. are way gone!
