Ran 3:07 pace and despite an unleashed dog I clocked 49 seconds for 230 m which certainly is putting me in the 40 second and below range.
So I am going to spend a little time to see if I can get below the 3 min/km pace for the 200m distance and under the 4min/km pace for the 500m distance. The 400m gets recorded anyway and 100m well perhaps think about that.
Get September out of the way and see what we can do with pace for the 1k, 2k and 5k.

Yes relaxed running Floss, just calm and calm breathing.π€
Finding the little tip of left 2,3 and right 2,3 is helping to increase my cadence when I really want to run like the clappers and give myself a short whip clip.
Thanks Jo.Disappointing not to see the segment stuff missing in the past two days for runs around times of 1700π€.
I am taking it anyway but hope during Sept to see it in lights. Its for the C25kers,not for me.Unless a bunch of Zulu warriors have come to town and stolen all the top ten places.Barring that I am determined to make it register in a sub 30 second time.Way above my pay grade Jo.πββοΈβοΈβ€οΈ
Yes Alan, probably beginning of Oct ., when Mr Winter slows stuff down.
Getting forgetful Alan but I read so many links , advice and then from James Lawerence 50/50/50 Iron Triathelete about always building your foundation.
Although he is only in his 40βs and nobody has ever achieved yet what he has laid down,I listened to his amazing and simple story.
I concluded I am not going to cut corners even at 76.
Hope you are good and enjoying your parkruns and now your longer 10kβs
Yes I am Tbae, I ran 10k on Wednesday in a time just over 73 minutes, next Tuesday I am going to run the exact same course that I ran my first full 5k PB last year, it was 32.25 although I've bettered that by six seconds at a recent parkrun. I will set my metromone app at 172 steps a minute and see how it goes, usually I run on a Saturday and Wednesday but next Wednesday morning I am getting a hair cut, ha ha, I still have plenty of hair up top. π
Just like your cycling revolutions converts in forward movement so does your cadence, steps per min, does exactly the same as you will know.
I think pace=steps/min x stride length/step = min/ distance I have always thought in terms of velocity or speed = distance/time or km/ min or ft/sec,mph, kph, etc.Of course it is correct but different.
It is about building up your endurance to sustain a given cadence and if desirable trying to increase your cadence.
That gadget, must be good Alan.
I just do it by counting and resulting finishing times and I guess just by feel. Not scientific and can easy get confused.
When I ran my HM I counted 1234 for 3 and a half hours.Crackers or what.
Counting 1234 for 3 and a half hours, hmmm, ππ’I told someone about the ticks per minute when I do some of my runs and they thought that would drive them nuts, I told them that I have the volume very low. π
