New Forest 10. Marshal's report.

This is the very nice horse brass that is the bling for the NF10. I was a marshal on the event but ran the course on the day before. It is a very scenic 10 miles through the New Forest with the Start/Finish at in Brockenhurst. This year was sold out with 999 entrants. It is described as a fast course being mainly on good level forest trails with a short tarmac section. Definitely suitable for road shoes when dry. You don't need to be fast to enter as there was a complete range of abilities (Loris friendly). There are also 3 mile, 1 mile and 1/2 mile fun runs for the kids.

More importantly there was the Ringwood Brewery pop up pub and various food and drink stalls. Camping on site.

Good prep for an impending HM. Look out for it next year.

I did the lepe loop 10k trail on Saturday so didn't book this one for the Sunday, but I will next year as it sounds great! I am booked in for the nf hm too and am hoping to get away with road trainers otherwise I will have to buy some trails! Hm training has started again 😊

That sounds nice slowloris. I ran from a hotel in Brockenhurst in January , while my friend went on the treadmill. I loved it even though I had to skip Iced up puddles.

I think I’ll check this out next year.
