Knee problems ☹️

Had to cut today's run short at 16k because it felt like my knees couldn't hold me up any more. They've been a bit sore for a few weeks now. They were a bit uncomfortable earlier in my run and then seemed to give out. It seems odd because my last run 9 days ago was a hillier 19k. It was warmer today and I've put on about 2kg but I wouldn't expect that to make much difference.

I started doing the NHS runner's knee exercise a few days ago. Maybe I need to wait for them to start taking effect? Anyhow, my plan is to do an easy 5k on Tuesday, maybe a 7k on Thursday and see how I get on with an easy longer run next Sunday.

Any suggestions?

Knee pain is no fun! Maybe a Physio or Sports Therapist?

I agree - worth getting it checked if it persists. Maybe give it a rest for a few days, worth skipping a run or two despite your plans?
