I remembered to do a flatlay! And I found some internet! Briefly. Here it is, my adjusted Edinburgh Half gear. It was originally crop top and shorts, but I've reassessed my position given the torrential rain outside my window 😅
It looks like an awful lot laid out like this. I've gone with my black compression tights with gauzy bits for keeping cool, a tshirt with a vented back, a zebra Buff, a retro towelling wrist pocket for stashing a gel (lemon and lime, the least bad I have found), Injinji socks (their first proper test! Though I still have black toenails from the last half marathon, so perhaps not a very fair one), trusty green underthings to match my green number, Garmo, Trekz Air for listening to my specially devised motivational playlist, my grey On Cloudflyers and a tiny bottle of Tailwind. Not pictured, leukotape, because Mr Sqkr had to bring it back from the old flat where it got accidentally left. Note also a binbag for turning into a fancy raincape for the start, it is one with handles so I'll have a frill.
Then for afterwards, a ludicrous Adidas originals tracksuit to keep me warm on the 50 minute bus journey home, Tailwind recovery drink in a freebie work bottle and a fiver so I can get an ice cream from Luca's.
The cat is not running tomorrow.
I'm all prepped! Now, if only I'd done sufficient training...
