Hello! I've been lurking for a while as I've been increasing my miles and goals. π
So, I'm now up to 11 miles and I'm running the Women can half marathon on May 26th π³
It looks like an incredible event, set up in honour of Bobbi Gibb being the first woman to run a marathon in the times when we were banned as the science believed our bodies weren't strong enough! It's a women only trail run over the cliffs of Devon so should be rather special.
Saying that, I found 11 miles quite tough today!

Hello! Here's an official welcome to the Forum for you πππ
That sounds like it's going to be a magnificent introduction to half marathoning - all the best for the rest of your training, good luck and have fun!!!
If you would like to be added to our Events list and get a big cheer on the weekend of your race, please comment on m'colleague's pinned post here:
Well done. I had a tough long run at the weekend. Sadly they happen. However, the event itself will be a different experience and you will have a great time, not to mention some stunning views no doubt. Good luck for you run. As you may have seen we do like to read run reports from people afterwards charting the good, bad and ugly of the run. So please do report back on your run after.
Sounds like a great race. Your 11 mile training run was missing that sprinke of race magic that will be there on 26th. That will make a huge difference π look forward to reading your race report if you feel like posting one π
