Hi All! Life has been busy and I have not had much time for online posting. I am up to 25 miles week and my longest run has been just over 19km. My first HM will be May 18th and the nerves are setting in!
I have been struggling with trying to find that perfect balance of nutrition and water on my long runs. I finally broke down and bought a belt that houses two small water bottles. Basically a fanny pack. I found that what I eat leading up to the long run makes a huge difference.
I have two HM's to look forward to... one May 18th and the next June 2nd. It may be a little overly ambitious but it's good to have goals! Happy running all!!

Thanks Deals! When I see runners whoosh past me on my route, I have to mentally tell myself that it doesn't matter if I am the slowest. Then give myself high fives for finishing!
Over winter I didn't take water for longer runs but now it is warmer I do. I use my camelbak to carry up to 1.5 litres. I also took a couple of high 5 aqua gels, one at 6 miles and then at 9 miles. Sounds like you are ready for those hm, just don't let the gremlins get the better of you!
