Long run cancelled

This is the sight that greeted me at 6.00 am when I got up for my 15K run this morning. Don't know about you hardy souls but I'm giving it a miss. I feel guilty not going out but I draw the line at running in that lot. Happy Sunday everyone.....

You are very sensible in NOT going for your 15K run today Pete1w, just wait until the snow has gone and just do some exercises at home.

Just hope so, where I am in Central Scotland its been snow🌨️ing and lying since 8, however, its just eased off a bit to perhaps allow me to go a 🚶 walk rather than a 🏃 run, running in lying snow is a bit dodgy. 🤥⛄

It will clear off as the sun rises higher in the sky. I say "sun" LOL

Best wait for it to shift No-one wants a broken limb!

Going a little later in the day will allow the sun to soften the ice spots. Trail shoes give a little better grip I find also. I’m biased but I say ‘go for it’ 😁

I've conceded defeat. It's now blowing a gale and the snow has returned.☹️☹️ Looks like it's an early start tomorrow with a run before work. As the HM draws ever closer I can't afford to miss any runs now. If I'm totally honest it's nice being able to relax and do absolutely nothing for the day except drink tea and stare at mindless TV programs....

I had a lovely run in the snow last year. It was only a slow 5k though, so I don't blame you taking a rest day.
