A 20 year run streak...
Wow! That’s commitment! I struggle with maintaining 3 runs per week sometimes with my work schedule but after investing in some lovely new heavy winter tights and too expensive running jacket yesterday, this lady is committed to another winter of running. Hypothermic half May be on the horizon if work doesn’t interfere too much...
She’s done 163 marathons and counting. I cant even process that... Congrats on the new winter gear. Now you have to get out there to get your investment back! 😁. I will be running with the Ninjas this winter for the first time, and I’ve signed up for the Around the Bay 30k in March so I have to train now😁. Nothing seems to stop the Ninja group. I think even in the ice storms last year they ran in a parking garage, while I stupidly slipped and slid around outside on my own, well before I met them.
They sound like such an awesome group! Good luck on the Around the Bay 30k - sounds like a good one!
I’ve got a few pairs of winter tights with the lovely brushed insides. They feel proper snuggly One pair was dead cheap as no-one wanted em. Saucony with a broad pink reflective stripe down each leg. Naff maybe but a bargain’s a bargain 😃
I had tried on a pair of Craft tights and trousers. They were both fuzzy inside and windproof and so comfy. I would've love to have buy both but I ended up going with the trousers because they had a better fleece layer and I could still wear a pair of tights under them if needed. I ended up also buying a Arc'teryx jacket which was more than I planned on but will mean less layering in winter and it has a great hood. I have different weight tops so should be good once the temperatures get below -10C and can use my windbreaker until then.
I know, it’s difficult to get your head around isn’t it 😃
