Last long harder runs done and an easier 8k this morn on a new route around a nearby pond with the changing fall colours was quite nice. Taper time now. These are the runs I look forward too. Well, these and most of the other ones π

What a gorgeous picture! You're so lucky to still have a lot of leaves on the trees. Our snowfall last week knocked many of ours off. Enjoy the taper! It won't be long now to race day.
It looks very picturesque! Fortunately the snow here has melted already. I had a great fall trail run yesterday, just a more brown and barren than the week before, and the water crossings a little wetter. The scenery changes daily around here, it seems.
Fall seems to get shorter every year. Must be even more noticeable for you there. Its great that you had a nice fall trail run yesterday in spite of the weather. Just go with the flow, right?
Thanks misswobble. I will be doing this route much more as it has built in hills and beautiful scenery. Trying to enjoy the taper more this time around
When looking at that picture I can imagine you gliding over that lake as a wise man, slightly above the surface, long hooded cape, arms akimbo, chanting.. Behind you, in the water, the followers quietly swimming....
Thanks Ju, yes the colours are just getting started now
Enjoy having some relaxing runs, no pressure as the training is done. I am tapering too which usually means I get niggles and feel like a sluggish sloth! That's a beautiful route, you should take the same picture in the different seasons.
Yes we had a 14k this morn and I felt a few niggles too as I tried to keep my pace up. But the work is done now and it turns out how it turns out. Not dar now! Yes I will pass by there this winter I am sure, and I will take a pic.
