I went for my orthotics today. Gentle weaning myself into them is called for and would you know I have a bad back from a hike last Wednesday so I have to take it ultra careful with them, but I’m excited to start my journey with these expensive beauties.
They have arrived. : I went for my... - Fun Beyond 10K & ...
They have arrived.
Nice one! Similar gear saved me, it will work for you too!
Very exciting!!! xxx
Good luck with them Realfoodie and hope your back is better soon, too! 🙂
Good luck, they will make your running so much better - also will make your back better! I’m now on my second set - wore the first set out over three years of constant wear and Jane been completely injury free in my running since I started wearing them.
Take it steady now!
Thank you, I have taken them out for a spin and I can tell already we are going to be good mates 😀. I could walk faster with less effort already. Because of my back just walking this week with 1 hour increases then start running next week. Funnily enough I am really excited, I can just feel I have been needing these for a long time without knowing that was what was missing 😀. Three years wow, are they the plastic moulded ones, I thought they would last longer MrRfc has had his for 15 years but he dosent run.
Mine are actually carbon fibre and we’re moulded for my feet from plaster casts taken by my podiatrist with my feet held in the correct position to shape the casts. I have to wear mine all the time when upright - at home, in slippers, in everything, as I’m wonky through my spine and hips. Didn’t realise until I got a stress fracture in my ankle bone when I started running - then my wonky ness caused the fracture so was spotted and now sorted via the orthotics - yay! Hideously expensive though - the replacement pair were £300+ last month 😱. Worth it though😊.
Hehe mine where In that region 😱. But he has said wear them all the time when I have built up, even at home but in time as I heal I will be having a break from them and I might even be able to go months without them as long as I always wear them for my long distances walks and runs, So hopefully I will get some longevity out of them.
Wow... hopefully they will serve you well.. they look proper job!
Fingers firmly crossed for you RAS.
Good luck with them, hon xx
Just seen this Rfc...hope your first run with your new 'feet' went well...😊
Hope you start to get some great results with them!😊xxx
