I have decided to get another pair of shoes.

So after my drama regarding trainers in October with blisters and unsuitable new shoes after my 10 mile run, I have now run in my brooks ravenna 8 up to 8.5 miles. I feel happy in these so far so as I am aiming for hm distance it was time to get a second pair, just in case! So here they are in a bright shade of pink with aqua and gold! I do have insoles so I guess I will need to move these from pair to pair. Such a lovely reward after my parkrun this morning 😁

Ooooh, snazzy! Love the colour combo. Sensible to rotate two pairs too; I’ve done the same with my Asics 1000 5s.

Yes the plan is to use these for short runs to break them in whilst using my current pair for longer runs. That way I have two pairs ready for the hm.

Good idea! I did something similar back in October. Was so happy with my trainers that I invested in a second pair - just a different color.

These are a different colour to my current black and burgundy pair. I love these vibrant colours!

I'm sure you will! They are my second pair of Ravenna's, I have the 7's as well, the 8's are even better. Great grip on slippery mud etc, nice snug fit, and soooo pretty!

And a good price as they have launched the ravenna 9!

Very nice! And a good idea on rotating them. Never even thought of that break-in period.

I had a drama when I changed trainers before on advise of gait analysis, the first pair really caused progressive ankle pain. I switched back to my usual pronation and they took a few weeks for my feet to get used to. This time I purchased the same and will switch my insoles between them. The new ones go for shorter runs for now while the trusty ones take the longer mileage. I can't be doing all the shoe faffage I had before lol.

Makes sense. That’s a good strategy.
