As some of you are aware, we have a rolling 6 week quest over on C25k and I want to 'test the water' here.
What the quest is:-
The quest takes six weeks.
You can join any time within that six weeks.
The main aim of the quest is to help you find a focus or goal that you would like to achieve by the end of the Quest period.
Some goal suggestions:
To run X times a week✔️
To slowly increase distance✔️
To train for a specific race✔️
To add In Stretch and strength exercises✔️
Aim for a new 5, 10, HM or marathon PB ✔️
Every week I will pin a new post where all the members of the quest can talk about how things are going.
So if you wanted to join all you have to do is put
I would like to join the quest, or count me in and then I would like to. ..............
Your name will be added for the duration of the Quest.
Good Luck everybody !

Hi Ju-ju I hope your week has gone well. I've had another good running week, 3 runs one of which was a speed session at my running club, then an 11k and a 6k at my usual comfortable pace. I've finally got a running club tshirt now too. It's purple, and I love it. I feel I've officially completed my quest now but will update next week too. Thanks for the focus
I just polished off another race and am still working on myasics plan for a hilly 10k in May, followed by a very hilly race the week after. Got two more races booked for July.
Hi all, going ok here, two weeks until the Wings for Life run....did a 10k race yesterday at a new venue, took it steady as I'd already done parkrun on Saturday. Was a lovely cross country run with a route on farm tracks and woodland with carpets of bluebells, absolutely gorgeous.
Hi JJ, I'm mightily fed up at the moment. My wonderful Wings for Life race that I've fantasised about for 2 years, and that I entered a year ago on the day entries opened, is in 10 days time and 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 last week I caught a cold which had gone onto my chest and triggered my asthma. 😷 Cannot tell you how upset I am. Haven't run since early last week and don't see much possibility of running this week either. Woe, woe and thrice woe 😢😢😢
Oh Carrie, I'm so sorry, hadn't seen this.....do you think you might be able to walk some? You don't have to run, but then if you feel grotty that won't help either, it'd be such a shame to miss out, you've been working so hard towards it too.
C3PO. Good luck with your limber work this week in readiness. Good feeling to know that the hard work in training is done and you can just keep things ticking over til race day. Good luck! 😃🏃♀️
C25kers trail,racing all,over The Shop! Well done Madge 😃 Sounds idyllic 🙂
Mum so sorry to hear you are feeling below par. However, you have ten whole days to get better! You've got to! You can! You will! You must! I believe in the power of positive thinking. If we all think positively, really hard, the healing power could be seismic 💪🏃♀️🏅🍰
Do you know what, misswobble ? The power of positive thinking definitely was seismic. Woke up this morning and my chest is suddenly much clearer. Can actually breathe without wheezing like a pair of knackered bellows. Will try a 5k tomorrow. So fingers crossed, the race is back on! 🎉🏃♀️😁🎉
