quite pleased with the way I am holding up to my marathon training....no achy legs no achy ankle and no shin splints i do though have achy feet. Does anyone have any advice as to how to solve this? I've looked on line and one recommendation is standing on one leg with arms out as a stretching exercise. Has anyone else had this and how was it solved?

achy feet....
I have a pair of "ankle" supports which also "encase" my feet - I wear them around the house for a few hours after a run - don't know whether they are a placebo, but they feel good to me and my feet feel "nice" when I take them off!!
A while ago I bought a spiky plastic ball to massage my feet. After particularly long or tiring runs, I sit down for about half an hour and put the ball on the floor, and rock it back and forth with each foot. This has really worked for me.
I sometimes have an unpleasant ache (almost pain) just behind the ball of my left foot. It feels a bit as if I've stepped on a piece of Lego. Other than ignore it and wait for it to go away, I haven't come up with any good solutions.
Well done.... I have a foot roller which I find great particularly when I had PF.... also Epsom baths are fabulous for sore feet and limbs 😎
I did foot exercise when I had shin splint. anything you can do to help make everything stronger is all to the good. I used to wear nothing on my feet around the house. Picking up a towel with your toes, toe exercises, standing on one leg while brushing my teeth. the exercise you describe sounds like a warrior pose which is a yoga move. it's very good ☺ I did the rolling of the tennis ball under my foot too. there are plenty of exercises on the Internet, which is where I got them from. they supplemented the physio I was doing
If you run on the roads all the time you could go off road for a change. running on soft earth trails, eg in the woods, is easier on the feet. I have some padded socks too, which I find helps. I assume you are wearing proper running shoes and sockx
I do the Epsom salts bath post run too. it is said to remove inflammation from tissue, which is why it's used for race horses ☺ Treatment for laminitis in equines apparently
