I havn't had an injection in left eye since May 2018 due to scarring I was told...but recently I had an episode of flashing lights in that eye and my vision changed, it felt like my sight was pulling in 1 direction, it turned out I had a bleed in that eye, but they won't inject as it wont improve my vision so a waste of an injection....I asked an optician if a stronger lense in that eye would help balance it out but was told no, I have to live with it....anyone else had this experience ?.....

Same here!! Scarring is a problrm they can do nothing acout. I got it in one eye and two years later in the oiher.Best wishes and good luck - I do hope it doesn't get any worse for you.
I thought flashing lights were indicative of something other than a bleed. Might be worth asking the mac soc helpline for their advice, and maybe a second opinion.
I will ask Mac Soc for advise, in this clinic there are 2 other consultants, last time I told one I had been given advice from Mac Soc , they didn't agree , i ended up being taken off that consultant and put in a different day by another consultant, they dont seem to like it when you are your own advocate asking for 2nd opinions..🤔
Oh yes, some can be delicate little flowers still living in the age of "I am a god, do not question me". Funny how they can disagree between themselves though and happy to leave the patient confused! Lost count of times had to say " the last dr said....."
Personally i don't mind if, after further input, a dr sticks to their idea ( I will then decide myself who I believe) but if they are not even open to the possibility that someone else knows more than them then I'm more than happy not to see them again.
Anyway, Bloodshoteye has covered the thing I was worried about for you so sounds like you don't need to overworry. Best wishes x
Last year I had an episode of flashing lights in one eye, especially when I looked in different directions. The flashes appeared in a circular pattern around the edge of my eye, reappearing when opening my eye, like fireworks. I worried it could be a detached retina, and luckily got in to see my doctor in a few hours. He said it is caused by the vitreous gel inside my eye shrinking, which pulls on the retina. It's a fairly common thing for us as we age, and it did go away in a few days.
