Cancelled

I cancelled my wet md checkup appointment this week. There has been a HUGE increase in covid in the area, and although I have no concerns about safety within the eye dept itself, what worries me is getting there and back and walking thru the rest of the hosp to get to eye dept. I really hope I dont regret it!

I hope you don’t regret it too as I think COVID is getting worse. I am lucky that my eye clinic is in a separate building where things are very tight and I have no worries about going.

I hope you attend your next appointment as things can go down fast. I think you will find hospital is extremely clean and very quiet.

Hi. I am in the Seattle, WA, USA area. We were the first US city to report the pandemic this side of the Atlantic. Things are far better here, thanks to our intelligent communities who followed the shut down, wear masks...etc. protocol. I also put off my injection for April and May-- I thought it best to wait.

My Eye Doc is in one of our largest medical facilities--they were really busy.

For me..yes my wet eye did bleed a little and it basically cleared up two injections later...hasn't stopped yet but I am sure it will by my next appointment.

So I skipped one, scheduled, injection in total.

I am 6-7 years into injections..great results..years 1-6 avastin for injections--come this year on Lucentis..marked improvement!

All that is just a FYI..no medical advise at all..just information.

Holly

Hi Patjo. I've been for my Eylea injection this morning, there were three more people in the waiting room spaced quite far apart. I will take every appointment I can get as I still have fluid behind my macula. I hope things work out for you. x

Thank you for your reply. I know things are safe within the eye dept itself( I was there 7 weeks ago), it's travelling there and back thats the worry. I hope injections work well fofr you.Good luck
