For those with poor sight, are the hands on a watch easier to read than numbers on a digital watch.

Wrist watch tips
I find hands far easier.
Hands are the best
Thanks, I have come to the same conclusion. It’s the position of the hands I look at not the numbers.
Yes you'd get better reading the position of the hands rather than the numbers.
I do wish they wouldn't keep making clocks with white dials and silver hands.
With watches I always choose ones with black numerals and chunky black hands.
Yes Mike, I have ordered white background and clear to read black numbers. Also gone for a much bigger size. than I have ever had before. Its years since I last bought a watch. My current watch was a gift 2 years ago and the battery has died. I am fed up with looking at a bare wrist. I never realised that I looked at the time so often!
My brother who was registered blind due to AMD had a speaking watch which he got in with really well.
I think it’s quite personal. My watch, a largish ladies’ one with silver Roman numerals broke recently so I’ve been using a man’s watch I had, dark dial with rose gold hands and Roman numerals, and I find the dark dial much better in sunlight. I prefer Roman numerals, as if I’m not going to actually read the numbers the ‘blobs” are quite a bit more substantial than ordinary figures
I have resisted going very large as I am small, but I have bought a replacement watch with a 35mm white face with black easy to read numbers and hands. A big improvement on the one that needs a new battery, that is 28mm. How do Ebay manage to sell things at throw away prices and great service. I actually love my new watch and I don't think it looks cheap and nasty. My husband has a watch with black face but I couldn't read it as well as the white face.
Hi Bobbie, I have an apple watch it has a choice of faces, if you choose minie mouse face it speaks the time when you tap the face of the watch xx very cute xx
