Hi, I have amd, one eye wet the other dry. I am suffering badly with hay fever, my eyes are very sore. Any recommendations as to what I can use to ease it?

Thank you.

You could try your Optometrist or GP for something or you could inquire at your pharmacy providing they can advise drops to use with wet AMD. The drops I use are specifically for dry eye which is a different condition. Good luck.

Thank you, I use drops for dry eye but they are not helping. My GP has no idea about amd!! I’ll try the pharmacy.

You could ask at your pharmacy for eye drops for hay fever, which should help.

They shouldn’t affect AMD. I take piriton tablets for hay fever which help

All symptoms .

Hope you manage to get something to relive your sore and itchy eyes.

Thank you.

Pollen sticks like crazy so practical things include not hanging washing, esp bedding and towels, on line outside to dry and always wash hair before bed. Also clean any specs and eyelashes regularly.

I used to get very itchy eyes with my hay fever but since using Beconase nasal spray I have had no more itchy eyes. I don't mean I use the spray in my eyes - definitely not! I just spray in the nose as instructed and not only does it stop me sneezing as much but surprisingly it really helps my eyes too.
