With our appointments being cancelled, and probably for lots of other medical problems, surely this could be where the private sector could step in??
Private sector : With our appointments being... - Macular Society
Private sector
Hi my mum has injections at the Spire Hospital Manchester which is private but they cancelled her last appointment, no further dates have been given. Every bed going to COVID x
I am in the USA & get my injections at my Retina Specialist's office (not in a hospital). During this Covid-19 situation he has spaced out appointments to limited the number of patients in his waiting room to no more than 3 at a time & his waiting room is very large so we can spread out 10 or more feet apart. My March 5 appointment for an injection was held on time & so far my April 23 injection appointment is still on.
I am in the UK and would never go private as already mentioned I fought my cause and won and got my injection. If an injection is cancelled I would be asking why as the Macular Disease Society day they should not be.
I agree but as a proportion of their patients macular is probably a small number so their resources may be being directed elsewhere?
