Iv had 2 injections one more to go. My eye is no better will you think I might need more

I think your opthamologist should be telling you that but I have had more than the loading dose in my eyes. My right eye is improving a fair bit but still needs injections and after 5 in my left eye it has not improved yet

From everything I have learned, these procedures could continue for a very long time, depending upon the progress of the patient and evaluations by the physician. I hope these procedures help all of us.

Main purpose of antivegf inj is to stabilise. This might mean more inj. They will review you regularly and decide based in what they find.

Not everyone gets a bit of improvement I'm afraid but stabilisation is better than continued deterioration. Try not to dwell on it, stress wont help. You are doing what you can, the rest is a journey. Sending you a hug x

Hi WADDINGTON. They will assess you at each appointment. I don't know what your condition is but with wet amd, you have your injection and will probably be advised when they intend for you to return, ie 4, 5, 6 weeks etc. At the next appointment (as happened with my brother twice), after you have your eye chart test and scan and then see the opthalmologist, he/she will tell you that there is no need for an injection that day (or that you will have to have another injection). In other words, you play it by ear but I hope you get the results you want.

everyone has given good advice progress nay be slow at first when there is a lot of oedema and then slow improvement may come. At least should prevent more damage

I think you will most certainly need more than 2. I started with one each month lats June, July and August, then one every two months until this week. I havd 2 more to go til the years end and then there will be a review. I have to say that my sight has got worse since I began thee injections and I no longer have good night vision. Just keeping my fingers crossed.I am annoyed because I was made to wait 10 days initially for an appointment whilst my left eye was bleeding, enough to cause the damage!!
