I would ask your GP for treatment for the sinus infections and really kick that on the head. You can't risk eye injections with a bad infection so must be very active to get rid of the infection Make sure you tell the hospital if you have any infection remaining Hope all goes well!
Talk to the hospital - do they have a helpline? Moorfields do and they might be able to help if you can't get through to your own hospital.
That being said, I have had a ghastly sinusitis since New Year - there's a lot of gunk but it's not infected (or not now, anyway) and I had an injection scheduled for last Thursday. I asked Moorfields and they said the following: sinusitis itself is not a problem (obviously you try not to cough when they are injecting you... ) but they need to know if you are taking antibiotics or steroid sprays as these may impact your treatment. I told the consultant about the problem and the steroid spray I had been prescribed and he said it was all ok - but it may be different from person to person, so talk to them.
Good luck
Kate
