Hi nainis

You are right - only 10 to 15% of people with dry AMD are said to go on to develop wet AMD. The dry type usually (but not always) progresses very slowly, over many many years. Eating a good diet and living a healthy lifestyle may be helpful, but there is no guarantee that it will be prevented. Check your eyes on the Amsler Grid regularly. if you notice any change see your your optician immediately, or better still, try to get an appointment for the eye clinic. Time is of the essence here. Good luck!
