7th Lucentis Injection today ! Ahh

All was great till I got 7th injection today, eye is bloodshot, irritated, and streaming this is first time I’ve ever had any reaction like this. Up till now it’s always been great, I’ve hardly known I’ve had injection the only change was the doctor who I’ve never had before gave me it and she overdone the wash. It’s always the nurses who give them but hospital was short staffed. Hope for no8 I’m back to the usual nurses as this isn’t funny but on a plus had an OCT scan and eye improving nicely so that’s a plus.

Hi Corriesboy.

This is why it is hard to describe to anyone what the injections are like. My first two were painful afterwards and the second two were a walk in the park. You just don't know what you are going to get.

I'm pleased to hear your scan was so positive. Good news indeed.

Hi 2468G , Yes I agree I would have said no issues with these injections till now , I’m sure a lot of it’s down to how it’s administered and in my case I’m sure the doctor was so different from the nurses in her attitude to the cleaning and giving the injection. Let’s hope I’m back to the nurses for no8 🙏

Good to hear eye is improving.

Try using soothing drops ( I use Hylotear) they might ease your discomfort ( when your eye tears up that means it's dry and trying to lubricate itself so the drops help it).

Thankyou eyesright I’ll get some. At moment I’m using the Carbomer gel they give me at hospital to use after the injections for 2 days.
