After the initial three loading injections my retina has now returned to normal state (flat) and visual acuity has improved from 6/12 to 6/9 in the affected left eye. Quite a remarkable outcome for now. I had a 4th injection two days ago to try and clear very small amounts of "cysts" left behind. The injection was pain free but the gritty sensation was very pronounced for about 10 hours. "Hycosan-plus" drops once an hour helped with that. The iodine solution was "double diluted" (I had to remind the clinician again that I have an intolerence to iodine) and there was no stinging. I will have to wait for six to eight weeks to see the results after another OCT.
I know that this is not a cure but hopefully with the right diet, exercise etc the positive outcome of the treatment will last quite a while and keep my good right eye healthy.
