Hi I was diagnosed this morning with shingles and have an appointment this afternoon for an Eyelea injection. I am having difficulty getting in touch with anyone at the hospital to give advice. Should I still attend?

As the inj are usually time sensitive I would say yes, go. Better you get there and they send you home than you miss an inj. Keep trying to get hold of them though.

Yes, eyesright is right. You must go if you cannot contact the clinic. I doubt very much that you will be given the injection but will be put on antibiotics and be given a new appointment.

Wonder how you got on, did you get injection or do you have to wait until shingles have gone?
