Thought this is worth passing on- I spoke to the charge nurse about my cyst yesterday and he explained it results from dry eye after injection- I haven't been using the softening drops as much as I should - so thought it worth passing on. Thank you to all who replied- it was very helpful as I was quite worried!!

Well worth passing it on RosyG. A reminder for us all - I've put the bottle in a prominent place!

What softening drops?

in reply to tallyho

I use Hylotear , have also used hypromellose drops. Both for dry eyes. I think 'softening' in the sense of moisturizing.

Glad you mind has been put at rest . Which drops do you use as I have

Never been prescribed drops apart from the antibiotic drops to use for 3 days after injection.

Best wishes,

Rosalind.

You are not usually automatically given soothing drops. You have to ask for them. Your clinic will advise you which drops may be most suited to you. You can then get a repeat prescription from your GP.
