Dear Suejoyce,
It is worth ringing the ophthalmologist's secretary and clarifying any statements made. The function of the injections are to stabilise the eye, maintain vision and prevent further damage. Therefore, if the ophthalmologist means that there has been no deterioration since the first injection, then this is positive.
If you have any concerns about your eyes post injection, then it is important that you ring the number that the eye clinic provided you with. It is possible that a small degree of discomfort is to be expected. Others on the forum will be able to explain better from their personal experience.
Kind regards,

Hi suejoyce, glad inj 2 is over and done for you.
You may not see improvement yet, or at all, but the chances are good and the fact it isn't worse ie might have stabilised already is good news.
A bit of achyness is common I've found but if it is pain then ring your clinic asap. They can reassure you or ask to see you. They should have given you contact details post inj.and you won't be wasting their time by calling.
Best of luck going forward x
Hello and thank you how are you x
Not too bad thanks. Bloody eye is less bloody ha ha. I think the implant might be working but had a migraine today so not sure if today's vision problems are to do with that or eye strain.
Got two new floaters driving me crazy up at top of eye, hopefully they will go.
Going back to work tomorrow if the double vision stays away but not sure how I'll get on with the computer . TBH at this point I couldnt care less about work!
Off to sit in the garden now as the weather's lovely. Take care x
good luck eyesight- hope this continues well
Sue joyce- it may take time as Eyesright says- keep us up to date! Good luck
Hi that's good enjoy the garden x
Hi Suejoyce
It is too soon to expect great changes, so I am not surprised that your condition is neither better nor worse at this stage, but I think there is cause to be optimistic. Sometimes wet AMD dries up after 3 injections as it happened in my case. I was given 2 more injections all the same, but since then my condition has been stable, meaning that it has remained in the same state for almost 4 months now without injections. I am being monitored every 6 weeks and have been told to come straight to A&E, should I notice any changes. One of my consultants did tell me that it is likely to flare up again. Till then I consider myself as very lucky. I hope you are one of the lucky ones too. Has the ache in your eye resolved itself? x
Aww ty glad yours is stable the aching not to bad now although the eyes feel very dry x
