Hi suejoyce, yes, inj are the treatment for wetmd, their aim is to stabilise so I believe you may get periods of time without needing them.
Best wishes x

Dear Suejoyce,
The function of the injections for wet AMD is to suppress the abnormal blood vessels, stabilise the eye, maintain vision and prevent further damage. Therefore, if the eye becomes stable for a period of time, due to the abnormal blood vessels being successfully suppressed, then there will be no function for the injections. However, it is possible that the wet AMD may become active again, in which case further injections would be needed.
Kind regards,

I too am 64 with both wet and dry. My understanding is the prognosis is highly individually determined. I did no expect I would regain my left eye to 20/25 from 20/60 but it did. I was at 20/40 for a year and thought that was going to be the best, I improved...greatly!
injections forever may be what I have to endure but we stretched from once a month to once every two and maybe get to fewer.
