Waiting times

Does anyone else have to wait 10 weeks in between scans? I was told they should be every four weeks. Also then have to wait weeks afterwards for injection. Had 22 Lucentis inj and now had two Eylea he t one due Aug. just wish they would give scan apps in advance so you can plan your life. Will not get next scan appt until after had my 3rd Eyl

Hi Lizzie,

The period that someone would be monitored when they have wet AMD will vary depending upon your particular treatment regimen. You should ask your consultant what your particular regimen is.

Many thanks. I was told scans should be every 4-6 weeks but because clinic so busy have to wait ten weeks

I run into this as well and haven't so far had a problem. With my situation; one eye wet the other dry, it seems like a week or two longer between treatments hasn't resulted in an issue,

Had two injections, in the second one, my cornea was scratched, and it took one month to heal. After that, I lost vision in right eye to which the doctor attributed to diabetes. I was told there was nothing that could be done which has caused me much stress.
