Dealing with nausea
Horrible feeling nausea I sympathise with you. I have found eating a couple of dry crackers or ginger biscuits settles this down a treat, Hope you feel better soon.
Hi, yes the above works for me but your gp can also prescribe tablets should nothing else help. Take care :-)
Thanks guys. Yes I have been having a dry biscuit or toast where I can. Have an appointment on Tuesday so will def mention it then.
Hi, I suffer with this too and have anti sickness medication but also, randomly, I find that eating an apple cut into pieces always helps. And of course ginger biscuits and peppermint tea. Take care x
Thanks Jenny ill try the apple idea. It's just so annoying because the last thing you want to do is put anything in your mouth! Feeling truly sorry for myself however nausea hasn't kicked in this morning yet so have managed to sneak a chocolate croissant into my stomach
I feel sick all the time I take cyclozine and prochloroperizine three times a day it's the only way I can actually eat anything hope this helps
hi loobylooby i also constantly feel sick and dont have an appetite i take 4 x domperidone10mg which i know know have no side effects and they can be taken alongside metho/hydrox/prednisone and the nausea goes away hope this helpedx
Hi loopylooby, I too found eating something sweet seemed to help.
It could be a side effect of the medication. Are you taking something like omeprazole or lansaprozole. It helps line the stomach and protect it a little. It could be the beginning of inflammation in your gut caused by the meds and the above might help calm that down.
Just something else to add to the pot when you go to your appointment just in case its the beginning of an underlying condition
All the best for Tuesday xx
Nausea is often the bodies way of telling you that you are ingesting something that the body cant deal with at that time. Try to note if it follows a pattern. ie just after eating/drinking something or maybe after taking medication.
If you can narrow down what is potentially causing it, you may be able to help reduce its impact.
View sickness as a good thing, as it is ridding your body of something it does not want. However if it is severe it may require medical (doctor) intervention.
