Hi scoobydoo

I get tremors too. It tends to be when my general lupus symptoms are flaring, but can't say I've noticed it's any worse when lying down.

Take care, & have a nice week end. X

Hi scooby, yes friends and family have recently noticed hand tremors, im having a mild flare up of my cutaneous lupas atm. Because of this my hydroxachloraqine has been increase and its been since then that its been noticable.Im unsure whether its the medication or the condition but its embarrassing when people notice.Fortunately its fairly intermittent and doesnt interfere with my work (yet),,, Im a nurse lol.

Do you cope with your job, do you work full or part time

Hi Rainbow, I work fulltime and it has not at all interfered with my work but this is my 2nd flare up, (newly daignosed in december after severe rapid 95% body rash in Oct). This one is much slower and unlike last time I am feeling fatigue and peeps have noticed tremors every now and then. As I say, im unsure whether its the condition, which responses to scoobys Q seems to indicate or the increase in meds. Whats your story if you dont mind me asking?

very small world indeed, lol. Im full time in eldery rehab and perhaps do a few too many bank shifts... ive cut back since 2nd outbreak, which is much slower but im feeling fatigued this time and colleagues have noticed the hand tremor, tho not all the time. Can still be effective in work and take bloods with no probs, just embarrassing when an HCA points it out in front of a Pt... doesnt give them much faith, although many of my Pts have seen the last cutaneous outbreak which was quite atrocious to be fair... Im just pleased that im not the only one although i wouldnt wish it on anyone...

know exactly how you feel, i had sudden onset chest pain whilst canulating a pt ... with chest pain, he said are you ok youve gone a funny colour lol- keep getting ? pericarditis, no you are not alone would be interesting to note how many health professionals have lupus and what where ? causative factors, mine pinpoint bang on the hep b injections.

I have tremors too & yes, I did work in a hospital too lol!

Think in all honesty though it's purely coincidental as I was diagnosed WAY b4 starting in the health sector. Because lupus is actually more common than most of us believe, & because the health profession employs so many people in 1 capacity or another it can sometimes make us think there's a link.

Aside from the tremors (& all the usual lupus crap) hope u're doing ok ;)

Hi

I have had tremors aswell maily on right side of body (hand, arm, leg and neck). The neurologist said he felt it was stress related because it is hard work living with chronic illness like lupus. I think it was my bodies way of coping with the stess placed upon it. He didn't think it was down to lupus itself but it is interesting that others with lupus also have tremors. Tremor was intermittent and I did get it when lying or sitting/standing but fortunately have not had it for months now.
