Generally lupus is a uv reactive disease so I would say that its possibly not the heat but the light.

Can you tell me if lupus is always triggered by uv. Also the joint pain is severe in hot weather even if I stay indoors.

it is weird, i agree! I get very sore fingers and very hot kness in hot wether. I find cold water helps.

Thank you - I assume you mean dipping in it rather than drinking it !

I go abroad every year and for the last 3 years I have never been better. I lie in the sun all day every day. Love it. Makes me feel much better. Maybe I am just lucky.

I enjoy the sun aswell but doc always tells me never to sit in at as it will trigger a flare! It certainly makes me feel better and just brighter generally. I get most of my grief in the cold weather, live in thermals most of the time. Its a pain. Sorry to hear that others can't enjoy like we can :(

I cant enjoy the sun and too much heat makes me ill. As I understand it, its to do with UV rays. My skin burns easily, have to be very careful. I tend to enjoy the sunshine from indoors
