Do you have to absolutely breast feed? My consultant made it very clear to me that most important was that I was well enough and if I had a flare then he'd prescribe me medication that meant I couldn't breastfeed... as it happens with both my pregnancies I never produced milk so was forced to bottle feed and truthfully it was great. emotionally it screwed me right up as I really truly wanted to breastfeed and with a touch of post-natal depression it sent me spiralling through the guilt-trip of hell... my boys are both fine, very healthy and not distressed because they weren't breast fed. If you're not well, consider taking medication to make you better and switch to bottlefeeding.
