The top of my feet and lower legs have been itchy and red I have

Varicose veins and lupus to.

So I do not know if it is from circulation

Or if some thing elese is causing it.

i suffer with this problem too.....i have lupus and APS syndrome, not quite sure what causes it? or if its a symptom of the condition or a side effect of medication

Red could indicate clotting disruption.

Swelling could indicate fluid retention.

Itch / sting / burn could indicate nerve involvement.

It is possible your Rxs might require adjustment to correct the situation.

Recommend taking a photo for your medical records to share with doctor/s.

If overall sensation of foot is altered either more pain or lack of sensation contact your doctor/s.

Do not ignore sustained red swollen feet / lower leg as a more serious situation may be occurring.

Best to consult with doctor/s.

Take care.

Hi Moss

Sounds very much like Chillblains,,i suffer these really bad in the winter months mainly..my circulation is that bad my feet and toes turn purple,,with chillblains you have to remember to warm the feet slowly..otherwise they itch and burn,,the swelling is horrendous,,if the condition is not treated (for me my toes ended up a bit scarred) i take Nifedepine through the winter months mainly and find i keep this under control most of the time.Chillblais i understand is a form of vasculitis,,can get worse be best for you to see your doc and get the advice you need!Wishing you all the best .
