Just to inject a bit of positivity into things ;0)
I finally got a Dr this week!! :), she doesn't know much about Lupus (yet ;> ) so has referred me to a Dermatologist.
I'm also (after being lied to by a previous Dr!! who said I'd ''..had a blood test..'') booked in for my blood tests! (ANAs etc etc) & also to check my fertility (or lack of...Dr said ''oh, well we usually do tests after a couple have been trying for a year..''- that was AFTER I'd told her I've been infertile for the last 25 years!). She wasn't at all positive as to whether I could have children at my age!! (40), but hey! my fella & I will keep trying & hold onto hope :0).
Dr seems nice & helpful enough, so fingers crossed :0).
Sending you all very POSITIVE vibes <3 & the odd 'spare spoons' I am sometimes blessed with :0)

PS can't believe I forgot! (lol, Lupus fog), Dr also getting me referred to a rheumatologist! - even tho' Dr doesn't know all my symptoms!, but it's great news, as have been silently suffering pains & swellings for many many years! Always hope :0)
so please you ne gp is helpful as long as there willing to learn im sure you will make a wonderful teacher good luck
I had been suffering for years also and could never put my finger on what was wrong with me, I had been to numerous doctors for this and my GP has no idea about Lupus and I got fed up after he told me that the only reason I couldnt get out of bed was because I was lazy, so I signed to a new surgery and was sent to rheumatology for my knees as I have osteoathritus only to have a barrage of questions of my rheumy and without even a blood test (which was done after the consultation) told me I had SLE Lupus and also the blood test also then confirmed it................so dont give up I am getting grips with my illness as I was diagnosed a year ago after years and years of being ill. I'm not happy I have Lupus but finding out gave me the answers to all the illnesses I had over the years If your not happy with the GP ask to see another one
