It’s Mira Monday 🐶❤️

Hi folks , it’s Mira,s 4th Birthday tomorrow, for anyone who is not familiar with Mira, she was born right at the beginning of Covid and certainly kept us entertained with also Miras 2 brothers. I posted pics weekly of the 3 puppies then when it was time for her 2 brothers go off to their homes I posted a Mira Monday,s which everyone seemed to enjoy. This girl is so bonded to me as like a lot of people on here I shielded for what seemed like ever - she along with her Mum Bea make me smile everyday and am so thankful to have these Furbabies in my life.

Happy birthday Mira 🎂 looking good lass. 🩷. where has the time gone ? Hugo is 1 in 2 weeks . Pleased to see I'm not the only one who has a sofa with blankets and throws in a dog organised heap 😁.I hope you and hubby are feeling better xxx

😂😂😂 yes only a dog lover would have heaps of blankets - were doing ok thanks , I know you broke something but can’t remember what it was 😫 hope your ok anyway- you need to post a pic of Hugo for every one to see xx

I broke my right elbow twice. I go back to see elbow consultant next week. No news about foot op yet. Hugo is comical and a real tonic xx

Bless her. My boys are scared of balls , can you believe? Spaniels usually love balls. They do love their cuddly toys though and tug them to pieces as each one wants what the other has. I am sure Mira will enjoy some cuddles and tasty treats xxx

Lovely to see that expectant face. I lost my constant companion, my little boy last week. My Bichon Frise was 10. It was out of the blue. He was my last dog and its so quiet here. Lost my Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier two years ago at 11. They are such good company but I was beginning to struggle sometimes with walks. For all the furbabies we have loved and lost you feel privileged to have had them and miss them when we have to say goodbye. Give yours a hug from me. xx

Oh I’m so sorry - that must have been so hard for you, out of the blue too - they are like our babies arnt they. I don’t walk the dogs everyday as I sometimes struggle 2 , we have a huge garden and Bea, Miras mum gets exercise with her ball but Mira just wants to sit on my lap all day which is fine by me. Perhaps you could get a little dog that dosnt need walking much . Again I’m so sorry - sending hugs to you 🤗🤗🤗💗

It's the pain of loss that's the hardest. At the moment I'm not getting another dog but locally I've offered to sit a few so that might work well.

Happy birthday to Mira who gave us all something to look forward to every Monday during Covid. 🥰 She was such a tonic - but was it really 4 years ago? Thanks so much Spotty, the time has flown so quickly , 1 of Miras brothers could be her twin and the other brother looks like Bea - I wish we could have kept all of them - I keep saying to Ian if I win the lottery we are having lots more dogs 😂😂

Yes, having more dogs would be wonderful.😉 I still miss mine.🥰 I’m not bad thanks SV, slowly getting there with the flare that started in February last year. Down to 4.5mg Pred now and the MTX injections are helping so I hope it continues that way.🤞 A comedy of errors here today as our wood burner started to belch out acrid smoke and set off all our smoke alarms!😳 Deafening! I looked out our noise cancelling headphones which helped. Hubby took all the burning wood out to the garden and then tried to clear the blockage in the lower chimney but realised there was more further up. So up on the roof he went and brushed into the chimney from there.🫣 Then the head of the chimney sweep brush fell off and lodged somewhere in the chimney.🙄 He’s now trying to get it out. What a carry on. Of course the whole house stinks of smoke and soot and a light coating of debris is covering everything in the lounge. 🥴 We can’t believe how much came out of the chimney when he thoroughly swept it at the beginning of the winter! Wish I had Mira or Bea to cuddle. Take care SV. Xxxx

Aww thank you so much for your understanding and sympathy Meg. It was a nightmare. Hubby finally was able to retrieve the bush head but as we are heading off to the Hebrides on Friday he hasn’t relit the fire. The smell of smoke/soot/resin is lingering, and being a wet and windy day today we can’t open all the windows. So central heating is in use today and we are thanking our lucky stars it didn’t happen the day before we leave!

Yes, they are messy things but brilliant when they work efficiently. We’ve never had this problem before but we think it might be due to wood we were given which it seems hadn’t been seasoned properly - hence the resin. But at least the chimney didn’t go on fire but the smoke from burning wood as hubby rushed it outside (in metal buckets) made a mess and the stink is lingering.

Never mind, it could have been a lot worse. Take care SV. Xxx
