Sea swimming

I have been swimming in the North Sea and lakes for about 3 years. I have lupus and RA. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. My joints feel less stiff and sore, and the buzz I get both during, and for hours afterwards is addictive. I leave the sea planning my next swim.If you have the opportunity to wild swim, grab it with both hands. The benefits will surprise you. I wouldn't dream of having a cold bath or shower.

I have a cold shower in the morning. Helps cool the Lupus heat 🔥 and wakes me up like nothing else does. I finish with a bit of warm water though, I'm not completely brave!

I'm in Pembrokeshire right now on holiday and am about to go for another swim in Barafundle Bay later today.

I have Raynauds and it hurt the heck out if my toes and fingers first time round, but the buzz is well worth it 😁

Update : another great swim at the sensationally beautiful Barafundle Bay. And thankfully, even though my toes And fingers went white, the pain was minimal 😁
