Third shot side-effects.

I wasn't very fond of the getting the third COVID shot but my nephrologist slid a concern in me while I doubted if I should get it or not because I thought that two were enough.

Now, my first two dosis were okay because I had no side-effects.

I lowered my corticoids about 5 days before my vaccination day. Today 20th, I still have a fever that doesn't go below 38°C. I don't suffer from chills or sweats, I only sweat at night if I take paracetamol.

The fact that I'm still suffering this fever and nothing else it's very concerning and at this point I don't know what to do. I basically just feel hotter than normal but nothing else.

Has anyone been there before?

I was ok with my 3rd dose but my 4th dose in january sent me stiff for 3 days.my gp wasn't concerned and said the benefits outweighed the side effects.i didn't alter my steroids prior to vaccination think I was on about 25mgs then.as immunosuppressed we don't gain the same protection from vaccines hence the need for extra doses.x

I often wonder whether we need all these many extra doses?🧐.

There’s a huge amount of hype and so called medics saying different things.

Hence the need to think out of the box and for oneself?

Some have “super antibodies against covid” say some researchers?🧐🤷

Not sure you will be allowed vaccine either a fever. My 4th gave awful side effects but as it was the longest gap between vaccines it demonstrated that my immunity had gone. This was despite having had Covid and long Covid.

Hi All. I had Covid badly right at the beginning of the pandemic and had antibodies a year later. I then had 2 vaccines and the 2nd one caused a 2 week period off work with a bad lupus flare. Naturally u am very worried about getting my 3rd and 4th vaccines. In my eyes I have the equivalent of 3 with the natural immunity. Any suggestions? My lupus is still causing issues the latest is now I have developed dry scaly patches which I assume are discoid lesions as well as the other blessings bestowed already in the rest if my body.

I don't know if I can cope with another flare on top of all this. I've already had to leave my job too.

Advise anyone. New to this and struggling massively. Thank you

Hi, I had awful side effects lasting nearly three months after my first and second vaccine last spring. I dreaded and avoided the third and at this point had to give in as Omicron is so infectious. My new Lupus doctor advised me to take two paracetamols beforehand and it made such a huge difference. I had very little reaction this time. I don't know why they don't tell you this beforehand. This should advised broadly.

I'd say that whatever you're suffering is better than getting covid and not being covered...

I will take any and every vaccine the doctors offer me. In fact, I pushed a bit to make sure I had a third primary and soon my booster.

Having been hospitalised once, I don't want to go there again.

I had an awful reaction to the third jab, it floored me for at least 24 hours. And I mean, totally floored me. Still better than being in hospital with covid...
