Introducing the newest member of LUPUS UK's staff - Alida Horne

Hi everyone,

It is with great pleasure that I can introduce you to a new member of the LUPUS UK team (and family). Alida_Bennett joined us at the beginning of December in the brand new role of Volunteer Coordinator. She is a full-time member of the team and over the coming months and years you'll have plenty of opportunities to get to know her.

Alida will be a regular contributor to our community forum here on HealthUnlocked. In addition to responding to your posts and questions, she'll share any volunteering opportunities that you can get involved with.

Enough from me, here is a what Alida had to say about joining the team:

“I’m very happy to have joined the dedicated LUPUS UK team and am looking forward to the adventure of developing the new role of Volunteer Coordinator and seeing where it takes us. My role is to support our volunteers in all they do for the charity and I’m keen to become the “go to” person within the National Office; to offer support or just an ear. My aim is to become a resource that our volunteers can rely on to make volunteering for LUPUS UK an even more enjoyable and rewarding experience, and I am keen to hear from our volunteers with their thoughts and ideas.”

I am sure that everyone here will make Alida feel very welcome and support her initially as she learns more about the charity and our community.

Alida joined us at our online lupus meeting this past week. Lovely to meet her & great to have someone dedicated to volunteers at Lupus UK especially as charitable organisations core is their volunteers (especially our dedicated trustees & committee members & fundraisers) as well as the lovely & hardworking Lupus UK workforce....I am sure she will be kept very busy over the coming year and I wish her great success 😊.... ml
