My mentor spotted this article on monoclonal antibody status in the US and shared it - thought it was encouraging. We need this approval here!

It is already approved and being used in the NHS for treating potential Covid patients who haven't developed an immune response but have been exposed to Covid.

It is all to do with supplies - the amount required to prophylactically treat us all is probably not an option yet.

Right - exactly. But we desperately need it for those of us who can't have the vaccine or didn't mount an antibody response. Fingers crossed the supply issues and cost aren't blockers.

But it WILL be there if you DO meet Covid - I imagine they would roll it out to anyone in that situation who registered the fact. They are suggesting within 4 days - bit like using acyclivir for shingles.
