Dry eyes characteristically produce copious streams of thin tears which overflow. It is in an attempt to protect the surface of the eyes which dries out in the absence of the proper healthy viscous tears.

Thank you very much for your response. Good to know that this is a usual reaction. Hopefully it won't be too damaging until I am seen at the hospital at the end of this month. My eyes are starting to have burning sensation.

If you speak to the chemist or the optician they'll maybe recommend a spray or artificial tears that may soothe the soreness.

Yes, I do too and have been doing those things but somehow it is not working as well last two days. I will just have to be patient until I see the doctor at Moorefields. Thank you very much!! Hope you are doing alright. Sounds like your symptoms are worse than mine. sigh...

Mine go through phases where things dont seem to help quite as much ...just got to ride it out.ive getting over a bout of episcleritis which is inflammation of the eyeball with links to lupus, sjorgens, ra and ibs I also take azithromycin which causes photosensitivty of the eyes which doesnt help either.you can use eye drops as often as you need too just make sure they are preservative free.I hope you get some help from your appointment x

I have used Lubristil for years but the manufacturer stopped making it. So I have got Hylo Forte through Amazon but it doesn't seem to work as well as my eyes water even more. Strange. I am using hot gel pad too. Thank you!
