I’m going to be starting rituximab very soon after I’ve had my second vaccine this week.

Anyone that’s been on this how have you been? What’s it like? Any side effects?

Hi Nessa, I am on my 5 th cycle of Rituximab and it’s a great drug, has really helped me.The only side effect for me is fatigue , I try to schedule a day off after the infusion as I am exhausted.

I was vaccinated in January/February so I waited 4 weeks until my infusion as recommended by the Rheumatologist. I had Pfizer Biontech as that’s what was available to me. The infusion suite were busy so it was actually 6 weeks before I could get an appointment for the infusion.

I had two rounds of Rituximab some five years ago and credit it with stabilising my lupus since then.

Hi I've had 3 lots of retaxibub and have a 4th in April. Tbh felt very nauseous on and off for about 10 days or so afterwards also lost a fair amount of hair( thinned out). Also had some mouth ulcers but after about 2/3 weeks all was ok.
