Hi everyone,

I'm really pleased to announce that an important research paper produced collaboratively with this online community has been published!

The paper "‘The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the medical care and healthcare-behaviour of patients with lupus and other systemic autoimmune diseases: a mixed methods longitudinal study" was produced by the fantastic MelanieSloan as part of the LUPUS UK-funded LISTEN Study. It wouldn't have been possible without the contributions of members of this forum.

The research portrays the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic and changes to accessibility of healthcare services have had for people living with lupus and associated conditions in the UK.

Thank you so much to everyone on the forum and to the members of the LISTEN study who gave up their time for surveys and/or interviews. We very much appreciate it and enjoy working with you all to raise awareness of the patient views and hopefully ensure more understanding and improvements.

We have another COVID paper with the journal currently. The next one focuses on the impact of shielding (or not being allocated to the shielding group) and will hopefully be published soon!
