My GP says it's Eczema, I don't trust him, can you help?

Hi All

I've got red marks, slightly raised on top of hands, that's blue ink in the photo of my hand (old tattoo) but you can clearly see the red marks and this spreads right across this hand, there's a few marks on other hand and the rest are all scattered around my legs which I've tried to show in the attached image. The largest mark, fingerprint size was the first I noticed several months ago and a few after that noticed my hand, they have increased in quantity on my legs, some are very small dot like masses. They don't itch, some come & go and are better or worse each day with no set pattern.

My GP has had a look, first off I sent photos and he suggested a virus or scabies! He gave me two lots of cream, one I use and the other is a steroid which reluctantly I've started to use now. When he called other day I told him I still had the marks so got an appointment and went down the surgery, he was only concerned about one mark thinking possible cancer, but it was fine. Hence I ask if any of you agree with his final diagnoses of eczema ? I have many health issues, chronic diseases and just recently possible Afib picked up from implanted loop recorder.

Hi arnieatmo. If yoru rash has not gone with prescribed creams l would ask for a dermatology referral, it may or may not be excema but it could also be psoriasis ? l am no expert but at least with a dermatologist taking a look you will have a definate answer.

Yes, if these persist & also if they spread, ask for referral to dermatology + continue to keep a log on the way these occur & the symptoms they give + with more of these photos...meanwhile, if you can email this descrip + photos to your rheumatology clinic, do: cause you r photos & descrips do seem a bit like my version of these, which apparently is due mainly to small vessel vasculitis (the main diff being, as time has passed, my version began to erupt with bleeding).

Hope you’ll let us know how this goes 🍀❤️ Coco

Oh my poor you CSVV sounds horrid, I looked it up but mine are red for sure but I know a lot of my issues are due to inflammation and I do have appt on Monday at the Afib clinic and I'll point these marks out as I guess it could be related from what you say, blood. Take care & thank you ( ͡• ͜ʖ ͡• )
