Relatively new to all this but the one thing I've noticed on most posts are all the initialisms, acronyms and abbreviations. I spend more time looking them all up than I do digesting the posts! Is there a list of them all anywhere for cross-referencing to make life easier? I feel like I'm missing a fair bit because I get fed up trying to decipher what it all means.
Thank you.

Hi, I'm guilty of this probably for two reasons. Firstly, I have medical training so speak the "lingo" and have done for years, it's a tough habbit to brake
Secondly, I have extremely painful joints including wrists and fingers so if I had to write out Hydroxychlorquine (HCQ), or common varient immune deficiency (CVID) each time then my replies would be much shorter, and my joints even more painful.
But you raise a good point, maybe we do need a glossary?
If you come across anything that you are not sure about please just ask in a reply. I have to do that sometimes.
I don't know what DLE is, I can't even remember what the E in SLE stands for unless I look it up. I'm new to all this and don't understand lupus myself yet which is why wading through all the initialisms makes it so much more difficult trying to find anything out! That's why I'd like a glossary, and the point of a glossary, no matter how long, is to be a simple list where you can find what something means without having to look all over the place.
The E stands for erythematosus (I think that's how u spell it!! 🤔😹
I tend to ask for clarification if I don't understand..or just simply "can I ask what ??means? ..someone will reply n let u know..every day's a school day on here!!
Maybe on a sheet of paper u can note things down n create your own glossary but rest assured if u ask for an explanation in a reply coz we all help each other! 🤗🤗Xx
I'd also recommend a book that might help u to get more of an idea about lupus..it's my go to handbook n the author is on the forum!! How to stay sane in pain by Karen Drennan-McEwan 🤗easy to read n you'll probably have loads of Eureka moments!! 🌈😽😽Xx
