? Malar rash

Hi, are your malar rashes usually confined to cheeks or can they spread elsewhere ie: chin area, forehead. Also do they feel itchy or tight and burny? or no discomfort?

NOTE: the redness is more pronounced in real life than looks in photo

If you have a look at my previous post, its lists my general symptoms and there is a photo of previous leg rash. In theory all sounds auto immune but getting a diagnosis/investigation is hard

Thanks. Last time saw dermatology there was'nt rash so they wouldn't do anything further. Been re referred to rheumatologist buy GP won't do bloods for another month as apparently?? needs to be 3 months in between

Maybe malar. Could also be flushing. I get both. Malar rises off my cheeks and travels over my nose. It’s like swelling and shiny. I can run my fingers over it. It burns as well, was more deep red in color and lasted for a month until I got hydroxychloroquine in me. I haven’t seen it since.

Flushing comes and goes. Made worse with heat and steroids. Usually spares the nose. It’s bright red in color. A dermatologist may be of help in your case. Make sure the rash is there at next appt. You’re a ghost without it.
