Has anyone seen a private autoimmune specialist in London?
How did you go about selecting which one to visit?

I see Professor D Cruz at the London Bridge private hospital.
He came recommended from this site.
I think I paid £230 and I now see him on the nhs at guys hospital. Xx
Also, sorry I just want to clarify some points.
Did you have diagnosis prior to seeing someone privately? or did you go and receive diagnosis? if that was the case, did you then get transferred to the books of the NHS trust treating yo
I saw prof Graham Hughes at London Bridge Private hospital. Any one of the consultants there are brilliant and professional and worth every penny he diagnosed my lupus and sjogrens after nhs dismissed them. I’m now under NHS
I saw dr Natasha Jordan - very thorough, compassionate, and has a special interest in lupus. This was at the London lupus centre.
thanks for the tips, I really appreciate it. The Autoimmune team I am currently with are being very unhelpful and dismissive of some very debilitating symptoms. It's all very frustration tbh.
Could you clarify, as I'm a bit confused are the London Lupus Centre and the London Bridge Private hospital the same thing? Google has really confused me.
Jordan, Hughes or D'Cruz, all at the London bridge hospital. Google it for the contact details. I wouldn't recommend anyone else. All brilliant.
Dr Hugh's has retired now. I spoke with the clinic yesterday.
The London Lupus Centre is at London Bridge Hospital. I see Dr Kaul there. He has been brilliant for me although, reading posts from others it seems he likes something to show in the blood eg positive ana etc before making a diagnosis of Lupus/Lupus like or Uctd but if you have a positive ana this should not be a problem.
I went to him for a second opinion not necessary expecting an autoimmune diagnosis just trying to rule it out. I took my old blood tests and scans. I have seen him three times and he has, so far, not had to order any expensive books tests but has treated me and prescribed drugs based on what he sees and my previous tests. This is great for me as I do not live in England but in a devolved nation so could not go on an English NHS list.
He writes particularly good, clear letters to me and my GP and other relevant consultants - in fact one of them told me how good his letters are! Now my GP understands and recognises what my problems are and in fact he prescribes the medication Dr Kaul suggests so I do not pay for this.
Dr K also said he thought not all my symptoms were autoimmune and sent me back to an immunologist I had seen five years previously which has proved correct and useful. Dr K is very good at drawing symptoms together and making sense of them.
Hope this helps and good luck.
