What do you do about squamous cell cancer on your lip

Cancer and lupus
Weirdly coincidental seeing this post! Have you got actinic cheilitis as well? I was toying with posting same here when I read this post. Couldn’t quite believe it as haven’t found anyone else to share this with anywhere.
I have Sjogrens rather than Lupus but I was on immunesuppression for about 4 years and am very fair skinned. Are you on chemo cream treatment, Efudix, yet or are they going to try and burn it off with nitric acid or surgically remove it perhaps?
I’m on my third month of using Efudix on my lip now. It’s not a pleasant treatment and doesn’t seem to me to be improving much so far - but hopefully it is actually burning off the cancerous cells. I think it depends on how far the Scc has gone as it’s not as aggressive as melanoma. I see my dermatologist again a week on Monday so will hopefully know more about whether it’s working or not then.
“Efudix cream (fluorouracil)
Efudix cream contains the active ingredient fluorouracil, which is a type of medicine known as a cytotoxic antimetabolite. Fluorouracil is a chemotherapy medicine used to treat cancer. Efudix cream is applied to the skin to treat skin cancer and skin conditions that can develop into cancer (pre-malignant skin lesions).”
